This training will provide and deliver the skills and knowledge required to operate a machine for spreading construction materials, and applies to individuals operating heavy equipment for preparing surfaces.
The objectives of the programe are:

• defects on machine attended to/reported

• routine maintenance attended to
• attachments/replaceable parts checked for wear/security
• Occupational Health and Safety requirements
Course will cover:
• understanding soil and rock types and operational requirements for the varying moisture reactions
• undertaking civil works
• undertaking operator maintenance
• using laser control equipment
• appropriate reporting procedures
• understanding emergency procedures and appropriate responses
• preparation of work area
• selection of tools and equipment
• handling of materials, tools and equipment
• housekeeping requirements
• work schedule in singular application or in
• team situation to given instructions
• work schedule and performance adhering to Quality Assurance policy and procedures
• manual handling techniques used in
• accordance with safety standards
