Skid steer operator training is designed to enable new operators to complete specific job tasks using the skid steer loader in a safe and efficient manner; to give an understanding of the seriousness of operating a skid steer; and to outline the responsibilities for operating a skid steer. Upon successful completion, individuals will receive a certification that is valid for 3 years.
This skid steer training course is designed to meet the needs of Skid Steer operators, regardless of brand. This comprehensive skid steer operator training program gives the student the skills to run an effective course by:
• Introducing them to the principles of safe operation of a Skid Steer
• Training them to present the material in a classroom situation
• Instructing the student how to evaluate another operator's driving skills
• Teaching the student how to set-up an appropriate test area for students
• Introducing the student to the regulatory bodies governing skid steer operators
• Explaining proper record keeping
This program is divided into theory sections and a practical component. The practical exercise consists of maneuvering a skid steer loader through a predetermined obstacle course while performing several functions. It is recommended that the student gain more experience with the skid steer under the direct supervision of a competent operator during the training to ensure that he or she are competent enough to take up a job or role as a competent Skid Steer Operator.
