Construtora OAS is a Brazilian heavy and civil construction firm serving both public and private clients. It offers a range of services, such as engineering, planning, execution, works management and concessions, for the power, sanitation, transportation, and infrastructure industries. It has developed projects in numerous Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Uruguay and Venezuela. The company was founded in 1976 and is based in São Paulo.

OAS is the company which has undertaken the project to construct highway in Trinidad which is the National Highway Network Project in Trinidad and Tobago, which has an estimated construction value of $2.44 billion. This phase of the program will be delivered in six project packages and will entail the oversight of construction of approximately 125 miles (201.5 kilometers) of highways, highway extensions, new freeways and a new causeway.

As a part of the corporate social responsibility Construtora OAS is very keen on the development of workers and staff and is very conscious about the health and safety of the workers at the job sites. Irrespective whether the worker has been migrated or has been hired from Trinidad all of them have to undergo a training to ensure utmost skills for the job along with the health and safety of self and others on the job site.

Trinidad Tower Cranes Services Ltd’s trainings were hand picked by Construtora OAS and we are currently delivering trainings for their workers and equipment operators. So far we have covered a range of trainings for their staff. As of this we have trained more than 200 employees on various skills and behaviors to ensure utmost knowledge and skills that they need to complete such a large project.

Trinidad Tower Cranes Services Ltd. has developed a course path and the curriculum that suited the Construtora OAS needs and ensured that we deliver what clients wants but also made sure that we are not leaving any stone unturned when it comes to the delivery of the programme. It means meeting all the requirements of the training and knowledge that needs to delivered and trained. The trainings were hand picked by the Construtora OAS. Trainings were delivered on weekends and evenings primarily so that the workers and operators are available to work in the day time and should not cause any delays in the project on the training.

Trainings were categorized into the sections of operators training and workers training. Operator trainings are for the staff that involves with driving and performing tasks on heavy equipment like truck or excavator. Where as the workers training for the staffs that provide physical support to the job sites.
